Rules and Regulations
The tournament consists of 36 holes of alternate shotgolf. Each two-person team will berequired to complete 36 holes of alternate shot golf in one day. All tournaments utilize a shotgun start format.
USGA Rules of golf will apply.
The format is a true alternate shot. When one player holesthe putt on a hole, the other player will tee off on the following hole.
The winner of the tournament will be the team with thelowest score relative to par.
Playoff. If weatherand time permits there will be a three-hole aggregate score playoff. Team with lowest score for the three-holeplayoff will be the winner. If stilltied, then the Tie breaker below will be used to determine the winner.
Tie breaker. An unusual tie breaker will be used. The scorecard from the tournament will beused. Scores from a playoff will not beused to calculate a winner. If thetournament is played on an odd numbered day, then all the scores from all the
ODD number holes will be totaled. Thelowest total number will be declared the winner. If there is still a tie, then all the EVENnumbered scores will be summed, and the lowest score will be deemed the winner. If the tournament is played on an EVENnumbered day, then the procedure would be reversed. The same procedure will be used if there is a second and orthird place tie.
If three teams or more tie for first, the above procedurewill be used and if after the first accounting of the scores two teams are tied
and one has a higher score, that team will be awarded third place. The other two teams will continue thecounting for first and second place. If after both tie breakers have been applied and still atie, the Money will be divided equally between the teams.
There will be no Rain day.
